I qualified as a Personal Trainer with NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) back in 2021.

I chose to pursue this path as I wanted to learn more about the science of exercise. I already had ten years' experience training in gyms consistently, but I wasn't seeing the results I wanted. And when I tried to self-educate, to find out more about the right path for success - the information I found online was often confusing, contradictory, sometimes outright wrong.

Once I completed the course, I began putting the theory to work, building detailed and varied workout plans, sticking to meal plans - including calorie counting and macro tracking - and putting it all together to transform my own body and lifestyle.

I'm naturally a curvy person. Most likely a mix between a mesomorph and an endomorph. I put on weight extremely easily, and throughout my twenties, I fluctuated between about 11 stone and 9 stone, thanks to fad diets and issues with my eating.

But for the past three years, I've consistently maintained a healthy weight - I'm strong and toned, and aged 32 I look and feel the best I ever have in my life. The key to the success? Understanding my calorie and macronutrient requirements, understanding the types of exercise needed to build a lean physique, and committing to regular, consistent weight-training and cardio.

In just six months, I went from a size 12 to a size 8.

6th February 2021:

10 stone 11

21.7 BMI

2nd August 2021:

9 stone 11

20.2 BMI

But Rome isn't built in a day. Whilst I was happy with the initial weight loss, I wanted to "tone up" and increase my muscle mass. And I wasn't solely focused on the aesthetics anymore, I wanted to be fitter, stronger, healthier. I continued working hard in the gym, kept on track with my diet (mostly!), and as a result significantly increased my muscle mass and reduced my body fat percentage. Losing a further 6lbs, I now have achieved a body I finally feel proud of. I feel confident in a bikini. I don't feel like I need to hide my body, and I can wear whatever I want. I'm strong and confident in the gym. I can do push-ups, pull ups. I can run for miles.

5th July 2023:

9 stone 6

19.5 BMI

Now that I've got myself where I need to be, I'm passionate about helping others. I know so many people who train hard but haven't got their diet right, so many people who feel intimidated by the gym or the weights area, so many people who want to change but just don't know where to start.

So this is where I come in. I know exactly what you need to do to get to where you want to be. All I need from you is dedication to our plan.

I'll be taking on new clients this month, with limited spaces available, with the following 'mix and match' services:

  • Bespoke workout plans

  • In-person PT sessions (based in Plymouth only)

  • Meal plans (with a focus on macronutrients and/or calorie tracking upon preference)

All of the above include online coaching and regular catch ups to keep you on plan.

Let's get you where you want to be.
